The Leningrad Codex is an early complete Hebrew Bible manuscript, dated to 1008–1009. STEPBible describes the Westminster Leningrad text as an electronic edition revised against photographs of the codex. This digital witness carries the manuscript’s consonants, vowels, cantillation and Masoretic reading traditions into a searchable form.
TAHOT adds another layer: word tagging and concise glossing. It is not a page-by-page image of the manuscript, nor does the existence of a medieval complete codex mean every word in the digital resource is an untouched copy of that witness. Readers can distinguish manuscript, electronic text and study data.
