Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν, καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

How does Assist With Scriptures help with…
…a word in the original language?
“What does “caphar” mean in the verse I am reading?”
Your AI
Check which verse, spelling, language, and source text you mean, then explain the word in that context rather than guessing its origin.
This site
Keep the passage with its edition, your question, and the explanation and sources your AI used. Another occurrence can join the same word study later. You can see whether it really is the same word and how its meaning changes with context.
…comparing translations?
“Why do these translations sound so different?”
Your AI
Compare the renderings, explain possible translation choices, and distinguish differences in wording from differences in the underlying texts.
This site
Keep each edition identifiable and the comparison connected to the passage. Add another translation without losing the earlier discussion. When the verse appears in a later Study, your AI can find the comparison and your own notes about it.
…preparing a lesson or talk?
“Help me prepare a Come, Follow Me discussion.”
Your AI
Explore the reading you specify, suggest questions and connections, and adapt the discussion to the people you will be with.
This site
Keep the outline, passages, and chosen prompts in a planned Study inside your Come, Follow Me 2026 Subject. Afterward, add the questions people actually asked. Your AI can use that history when you prepare another week, rather than treating each discussion as unrelated.
…testing a claim I heard?
“I want to test a claim from The Ancient Tradition podcast.”
Your AI
Trace the argument to its sources, seek other readings, and explain the difference between a source's claim and its own interpretation.
This site
Keep the episode reference, relevant passages, competing arguments, and your conclusion connected. A quotation remains attributable to its speaker; your AI's proposal and your response remain distinct. You can return to the question after another episode without having to settle it prematurely.
…a theme across many texts?
“How do different traditions discuss humility?”
Your AI
Bring together passages and scholarship, explain the context of each, and explore meaningful similarities and differences.
This site
Keep a Humility Subject with your chosen passages, sourced Research, and Studies. Another AI can add its reading later while your own Notes stay distinct.
…a study that keeps growing?
“A small question has become a book-sized study.”
Your AI
Synthesize a large source collection, develop a structured argument, offer competing readings, and revise whole sections as your thinking changes.
This site
Keep long Research, citations, Studies, and your conclusions connected. Organize Subjects hierarchically or gather material around overlapping themes; move from an overview into a passage or earlier draft. Your sources and preferred discussion approach remain here when you change AIs. The next assistant can continue the study without erasing earlier interpretations or hiding the questions still open.
